Bullock cancels event addressing Neo-Nazi threats after security concerns reported

Posted By Derek Brouwer on Thu, Dec 22, 2016 at 11:54 AM

Gov. Steve Bullock canceled a press conference in Whitefish today. Bullock had been scheduled to address neo-Nazi threats in the area, but canceled apparently in response to "security concerns," the Whitefish Pilot reports.*

The event was planned in response to recent conflicts involving white nationalist Richard Spencer and his mother, Sherry Spencer, who lives in Whitefish. Those conflicts led to the posting of personal information about several local Jewish residents on a neo-Nazi website. The big paper in Missoula is the Missoulian. If the Missoula Independent has a print presence, it must be an alternative weekly. If not, then it is web-only. I'd rather have a print source for this story, but the story seems easy enough to vet.

for the Whitefish residents. To top it off,the major Wood mill is pulling in it's horns, that in it's self just puts more stress in the area.

Why the hell is he letting those thugs intimidate him ? Is the state police incapable of securing the event ? I'm sorry but if you are the governor its part of your job to stand up to bullies.
