Woman faces ban from Jefferson Mall after unruly outburst

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) Officials with Jefferson Mall released a statement following a womans outburst at a JCPenney where she verbally abused two Hispanic women.

The viral video was released Tuesday after an elderly customer berated the two women after she claimed one of them jumped the line.

According to Renee Buckner, the original poster of the video, she said one of the Hispanic women was purchasing items nearing the end of her transaction. Things went sour after that womans friend brought up two additional items to be purchased.

In a statement, Jefferson Mall said:

"We are aware of the video posted online today from inside JCPenney. Jefferson Mall strives to create a comfortable and convenient experience for all of our guests and we absolutely do not condone this type of behavior. We will work with JCPenney to identify this woman and once identified, she will permanently be banned from Jefferson Mall, per our behavior code."

2X on racist video: You cannot stay silent

Officials at Jefferson Mall said they intend to ban a woman whose expletive-laced tirade toward a Hispanic woman went viral on social media late Tuesday night.

The video, shared publicly on Facebook around 6 p.m. Tuesday, shows a white woman berating a Hispanic woman, telling her to "go back to wherever the (expletive) you come from," and speak English. She also calls her a "nobody" and tells her that taxpayers probably paid for her items because she's on welfare.

"It don't bother me if I say it and I hope everybody hears me. I think everybody here probably feels the same (expletive) way I do," the woman said.

At a press conference Wednesday morning, activist Christopher 2X said that Mayor Greg Fischer and other officials should respond to the incident in the same way they did when the Louisville Islamic Center was vandalized with graffiti in September.
