Vanity Fair breaks subscription record after Trump attack on Twitter

Source: The Hill

Vanity Fair magazine broke a record for subscriptions on the same day that President-elect Donald Trump blasted the magazine on Twitter, increasing subscribers a reported hundredfold.

The magazine had the highest number of subscriptions sold in a single day among Condé Nast publications on Thursday, the company told Folio Magazine.

A spokesperson tells me that yesterday @VanityFair had the highest number of subscriptions sold in a single day at @CondeNast. Story soon.

The magazine put up a banner on its website following the criticism from Trump, calling itself the “magazine Trump doesn’t want you to read” and encouraging readers to subscribe.

has been from local journalists who've known them all, and those who associate with them, for years. The New Yorker and New York Magazine also. If this surge of interest encourages Vanity Fair to continued extensive in-depth coverage, great...

They often publish interesting and thought-provoking stories by good writers. The Annie Liebowitz photos are stellar, too. The magazine is well worth the money.

let's see--VF gets a huge number of new subscribers. . . . . starbucks is being targeted by having pukes buy their coffee. . . . "hamilton" is being boycotted--sold out til next year sometime. .

boy, these pukes really know how to go after businesses, don't they?

Love the magazine. They did reporting in the Bush years that few in the media would touch. The review of Trump Grill(e) was hilarious. I won't eat there myself, but I'll look around for people in the DC area who have.

but there is no subscription choice that doesn't involve getting physical magazines. I'll take just a digital membership or I'd just give them money for standing up.
