Sandy Hook dad fights lies about murdered son

Source: USA Today

...
While Pozner and his family must live with their loss of Noah every day, there is another story circulating the Internet, and it often comes in the form of slanderous remarks and even death threats against the Pozner family:

Noah never existed. Pozner is an actor, paid to perpetuate a massive hoax staged by the government and the media to build support for gun control.
...
Others have insisted that he and other Sandy Hook parents exhume the bodies of their children to prove they existed.

On Dec. 5, federal agents arrested Lucy Richards, 57, of Tampa, believing her to be the woman who has been leaving voicemails on Pozner’s phone, saying, “You gonna die, death is coming to you real soon,” and “Look behind you, it is death.”

I guess that's where the lack of basic common decency has gone. We have become so cold & callous. Just because we are anonymous behind our keyboards doesn't allow us to become the filth they have become.

There has been such a serious decline in ethics and morals seems it started around the time the great "Moral Majority" reared their ugly heads.

the way they tell it, there are a lot of oddities that could make a person go "hmmm". But I actually know someone who knew one of the Sandy Hook parents, and so that removed any thought it was fake for me. The other idea that this was faked -- involving a massive conspiracy-- so Obama could promote ban guns, as they think, is also just silly. Ultimately I realized the gun rights people are just freaking nuts.

To publicly doubt these kids existed is just a huge slap in the face to the parents, and is horrible. But then to harass parents about this event in this way is just disgusting and inexcusable. There needs to be some sort of legal action for this sort of insanity.

I know someone who lost a close relative in Sandy Hook. I'd like a denier to say something to my face.

Every network was trying to be the first with new information, which resulted in a lot of inaccurate reporting and misinformation.*

Additionally the State of Connecticut had to be sued by the Hartford Courant (a very liberal paper) to release the investigation report of the CT State Police.

I dislike conspiracy theorists in general and despise the Sandy Hook ones.

* One example that I remember was that 2 CT State troopers were transporting a prisoner somewhere and responded to the scene as well. The prisoner in the back seat was reported by at least one news station as the CT State Police having the shooter in custody.

It's all profit-driven entertainment. We have lost the "fourth estate" that was supposed to help ensure our democracy by keeping citizens informed.

The media is culpable in Trump's ascension to the presidency. They have promulgated breathless lies and misinformation for decades, to the point where much of the country is confused about what is true or not.

I will never take them seriously ever again. At least McCain had the good sense and courage to correct the woman who said Obama was an "Arab". I long for the days when Republicans and Democrats tried to find common ground, and write and pass bipartisan bills. Ever since Reagan, they just got shittier and loonier.

If someone posts on the internet that "Noah never existed," then they should be arrested, fined a great deal, and sent to prison. The reason people do this shit is because there's no punishment. "Free speech" is sacred, just like guns, so we have to put up with this.
