McConnell: We'll start Obamacare repeal on day one

Source: the Hill

By Alexander Bolton - 12/06/16 02:21 PM EST

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) says legislation repealing the Affordable Care Act will be the first order of business in the new Congress.

McConnell announced the agenda Tuesday, after meeting with Vice President-elect Mike Pence and Senate GOP colleagues over lunch.

"When we come back Jan. 3 we'll be moving to the ObamaCare replacement resolution, the ObamaCare repeal resolution will be the first item up in the New Year," McConnell said, referring to repeal legislation that is expected to pass with a simple majority vote under special budgetary rules.
........................

There is a dispute between GOP Senate and House conservatives whether the repeal of the law should be phased in over three years — a timeline senators favor — or more quickly than that.

2. Kentucky is one of the places that the ACA is most successful.

The sad part is that Kentuckians are not aware that they have Obamacare. They think they have an independent state insurance plan. McConnell will do all he can to delay this all the while he'll be giving the appearance of trying to repeal it.

BUT, lo and behold, the sensible people in the DNC told her no

the same geniuses that took over Hillary's run. Of course, they picked Alison grimes, who could not even admit she voted for Obama.

http://www.courier-journal.com/story/opinion/editorials/2014/10/08/grimes-interview-thursday/16910427/

and now we have Mitch ready to get his claws into territory even Trump was reluctant to go into, at leats not before making a half arse "replacement".
Yes, Hillary had a stacked deck against her, that is a 2+2=4 fact, but frankly, I do nto want the geniuses that hjelped keep the trutle on congress calling the plays for 2018 or 2020.

And wouldn't democratic House and Senate members bring their constituents to go on record how the ACA literally saved their lives, their homes, their dignity?

5. But thats just it the majority of the GOP probably dont give a damn about really overturning it

they just liked using it as a punching bag with soundbites to keep control of the House and gain it in the Senate but now they have a potential GOP president and still retain control over the House and Senate they are in panic mode trying to find a way out of really following through over their rhetoric because they know if they do away with it there will be alot of people calling for their heads on a pike.

6. He is setting up the stage to deflect blame for not repealing it.
Tue Dec 6, 2016, 09:59 PM
Dec 2016

He knows he can't repeal it so he says he will but then point to Democrats that are standing in the way.
He'll say that if the Democrats were removed they would repeal it.

Reality is they can't repeal it because they don't have a replacement plan and repealing would take away insurance from millions.
People would die and the Republicans would get the blame.

They are going to try every trick they can think of to convince their base they are working hard to repeal it while having no intention of repealing it at all.

Ya gotta have priorities. How many millions must die before the GOP get's their ass kicked out!

They are going after the Boomers. More death for the lack of a buck.

This cannot happen!

And EVERYONE of these 950 vile and greedy men and women were elected by the people they are going to fuck....NOT APPOINTED, NOT BORN INTO IT LIKE A MONARCHY, BUT ELECTED.

I dont feel a bit sorry for ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS to these people who elected any of these GOP cretins.

I have nothing for total disgust and wish nothing but the worst for anyone including democrats that voted for Fuckump.

The day that piece of shit mocked the disabled Reporter on TV and basically laughed about it, was the day one for me. This includes any of the Bernie or bust shits that voted for Stein or the other asswipe. If you voted against the democratic nominee, then you get what you deserve.

Hospital Associations and Insurance companies are not on board with a repeal at all. They like their cash cow except for a handful of pesky little regulations like no more pre-existing condition exclusions and the regulations regarding delivery of certain services. When it is all said and done, I expect to see some bullshit legislation that allows for more wiggle room for insurance companies to exclude certain services and conditions, but a full repeal is gonna be bad for business--and that will not happen.
