Photos of US President-elect Donald Trumps landmark first talks with a foreign leader show his daughter Ivanka was present, underscoring the familys influence as he readies to take power.

In the meeting with Japans Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the moguls Trump Plaza residence on Thursday, Ivanka a model-turned-business executive was seen seated as the group conversed in the opulent reception room.

Media were shut out of the gathering in Manhattan, but images released by the Japanese government also showed Ivanka and her husband, real estate developer and publisher Jared Kushner, standing and chatting with Abe. Ivanka and Kushner, both 35, have emerged as key advisers to Trump, who shocked the world by beating Democrat Hillary Clinton in the November 8 election.

World leaders have scrambled to establish ties with Trump but Abe was the first to see him in person since a vote that has provoked anxiety over US foreign policy and Washingtons commitment to security in Asia.

9. Ivanka COULD possibly be our best hope of foiling the plans

of the most destructive extremists around Trump. She and Jared are Orthodox Jews. They survived the putsch of Manafort last summer, Christi, who prosecuted Jared's father, was played for months and then kicked out of the power circle.

Bannon and many other of the highly racist scum that flocked to fill the vacuum around Trump don't like Jews. It's fair to guess that the Kushners don't like the scum either. How much is a question. Jared's plutocratic family background isn't exactly clean, but it's also a sophisticated and Democrat background, though Jared's lately gone more conservative. They are/were close friends of Chelsea and her husband.

I'm not holding my breath that Ivanka is someone who would want to, much less could, secure humanitarian limitations for deportations, save Medicare, SS, the USPS, stop the sale and rape of federal lands, etc., etc., etc. but at this point I have absolutely no objection to her gluing herself to her father's side. I do trust her to handle his inappropriate patting like the pro at that she obviously is, but the trick would be retaining their current power at the top of the pack.
