Biden to stump with Senate candidate Kander at Pageant Friday

Vice President Joe Biden will appear at a rally with Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Jason Kander Friday, the latest indication that Missouri's Senate race has become a nationally watched showdown.

Biden and Kander will speak at a rally at The Pageant, 6161 Delmar Boulevard, at 3:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.

Kander, currently Missouri's secretary of state, is attempting to unseat incumbent Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., in a race that polls show has tightened in recent months.

Some national analysts have moved the state from its previous status as a safe Republican seat to a tossup. Both parties are putting increasing amounts of money into it.
