A man sporting a pro-Trump t-shirt was arrested Sunday after punching a person attending a Hillary Clinton campaign event in North Carolina.

The suspected supporter of Republican nominee Donald Trump was arrested for civil assault and charged with a misdemeanor, local authorities told CNN, adding that the victim did not need medical attention after the attack at the Charlotte event.

A few people began to disrupt the event before the assault occurred to which the Democratic nominee said, “Some people are just sore losers, we just have to keep going,” CNN reported.

The attack is one of many politically charged assaults that has occurred over the course of the election cycle, with Trump campaign events earning a reputation for being particularly heated.

Yup, I hope they go all out in airing O'Keefe's videos. The reality is
we're at War with these lefties. We're at War for the survival of our
Sacred Republic. The communists/globalists are in the final stages of
taking our country. We can't let that happen. I hope the ballot box

The reality is that gun sales have gone up bigtime the last 8 years
under Obama. That says something. The efforts to get Trump elected is
what I call a peaceful 2nd American revolution and I do hope it works
out . If Hillary gets in, sadly I will turn out to be right and you
wrong. History tends to repeat itself. First the soap box, then the
ballot box, and as a very last resort, the bullet box.
