Donald Trump is in a funk: Bitter, hoarse and pondering, ‘If I lose. . .’
Source: Washington Post
FLETCHER, N.C. As he took the stage here in this mountain town Friday afternoon, Donald Trump was as subdued as the modest crowd that turned out to see him. He complained about the usual things the dishonest media, his corrupt rival Hillary Clinton but his voice was hoarse and his heart didnt seem in it.
He also promised to do all that he could to win, but he explained why he might lose.

(2,315 posts)It would be such a treat to see him spend eleven hours under oath in front of a hostile Congressional committee.
Maybe his testimony in the upcoming fake "university" trial will be on camera

(58,694 posts)not a clue. Getting elected, as in surviving the presidential campaign, is probably as hard or harder than actually doing the job.
It's probably a good idea. It's hard for an asshole like Trump to hide his character flaws for that long, and under those stresses.
Hillary has seen it and been through it as a spouse and as a participant in the primaries. She knows. He was clueless.

I imagine many of them are soul searching thinking he wasn't the right choice anyway.
Too bad. So sad.

(11,058 posts)Apparently he told their office yesterday that Trump was going to lose and they all knew it.
The thing I noticed during the debate - he was talking about fighting ISIS and told Hillary "Good luck with that" or something to that effect. I think he knows he's lost as well.

Every one of his pathetic little rat-scabie horde has been so corroded with wrath that they'll soon be burnt-out cinders of collapsed hate and idiocy. Fade to black . . .

(11,605 posts)It is tough to keep campaigning and giving it your all knowing you are going to lose. I imagine this is how McCain felt toward the end in 2008 as well.
If Trump weren't such an atrocious human being running a campaign reminiscent of Hitler's in the 1930's, I might feel a little sorry for him.
