Hillary Clinton widens Wisconsin lead over Donald Trump in latest Marquette poll

Hillary Clinton widened her lead to seven points over Donald Trump in Wisconsin, with her gains coming in the wake of a video showing Trump making predatory comments about women, according to the latest Marquette Law School Poll.
The latest poll showed Clinton leading Trump 44-37 among likely voters. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson received 9 percent support and Green Party candidate Jill Stein received 3 percent.

The poll also found Trumps support lessening among several subgroups before and after Friday, most notably women and evangelical Christians, though the sample sizes were small. Among women, Clinton led 45-36 on Thursday and 56-23 over the weekend. Among evangelicals, Trump led 64-24 on Thursday and 47-31 over the weekend.
When you see every one of (the subgroups) move in the same direction from Thursday to Sunday, you have pretty good confidence that there was a pretty wide shift, Franklin said. The real question is: Is it enduring or not?

I saw a terrific graph on Maddow report tonight. Will trying to find it. Basically a 19pt Net drop from last Thrus through Sat for Trump--before and after the video came out.

(1,415 posts)i tend to think this tape has done lasting damage altho i dont know what the margin will be on election day.. hopefully its still a bog margin. i am still worried that may narrow into a 3 or 4 point spread... i would like it to be higher.. we need that senate seat and other house seats down ballot!

................Meanwhile in the U.S. Senate race in Wisconsin, incumbent Republican Ron Johnson closed to within the margin of error against Democrat Russ Feingold. Feingold led 46 percent to 44 percent in the latest poll compared with 44 percent to 39 percent in September.
Its a moderately close race, at least, poll director Charles Franklin said of the Senate campaign.
The margin of error among likely voters was plus or minus 3.9 percentage points, Franklin said.....................

The #MULawPoll didn't poll Paul Ryan today? Are they scared of how low he would go? Seems like a deliberate oversight to protect him
