See...police can come across a man with a gun and figure out a way to deal with it other than shooting him. (Lots of subtext here...)

(94,592 posts)Police have blocked off traffic around San Franciscos Civic Center and evacuated nearby buildings as negotiators try to talk down a man with a semiautomatic handgun who is threatening to harm people and commit suicide.
He may want to end his life. He may want to take out other people. And we dont want that to happen, said San Francisco Police Department spokesman Carlos Manfredi. As long as we have time to talk to him, we have hope.
Manfredi said the man, who is white and in his 40s, called the police on himself around 12:00 p.m. Saturday. He told officers that he was thinking of hurting himself and possibly other people too.

(4,462 posts)People often mistake common objects for guns (and bombs, swords, etc.) which then precipitates a police response.
Once the police determine the confused and innocent suspect only had a stick, cell phone, umbrella, etc., the lockdowns, shelter in place orders, and other precautions about the "gunman" are lifted.

(11,257 posts)Apparently, she likes to demonstrate how she lives her life without arms and in the video, she uses her feet to shoot a few different kinds of guns. So...an unarmed gunman.
I googled around for an "unarmed" gunman based on your quip!
