RNC head threatens Cruz, Kasich and Jeb: Get behind Trump or we can make your life miserable

Source: RawStory

TOM BOGGIONI
18 SEP 2016 AT 14:03 ET

On Sunday, Republican National Committee head Reince Priebus made a not-so-veiled threat to GOP officeholders who have failed to back the party’s presidential nominee: Get on the Trump train or get left behind when you run for office again.

Appearing on Face The Nation, Preibus told host John Dickerson that he expects to see big name Republicans who have failed to endorse presidential nominee Donald Trump hit the road and help win the White House.

“I think people need to get outside this Beltway and get on the road,” Priebus explained. “This is probably one of the biggest movements as far as people across this country in modern history.”

Priebus then darkly hinted that failure to fall in line could be costly to the likes of former GOP heavyweight candidates Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz and John Kasich who all signed pledges to support the eventual nominee.

I really don't think there are many, if any Republican leaders who back Trump. Trump's support comes from the mouth-breathing "deplorables" who feel empowered after listening to over 2 decades of Faux Snooze and RW nutjob radio.

Trump TV would end up in the trash heap of Trump Steaks, Trump Airlines, Trump Water, and other ill-conceived Trump ventures.

While the GOP nominee might want a television platform of his own, the chances of him successfully launching one are infinitesimally small. He has a better shot at occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in 2017 than becoming even a blip on the cable news radar.

The theory being put forth is that Trump, with an increased profile from his presidential campaign, will launch a channel to compete with Fox News for a conservative audience. This would mean succeeding where many others have failed.

Yes, No, Donald Trump’s campaign is not a political Rube Goldberg contraption designed to launch a television network.

And I do believe he is going to launch something "media-related" regardless of what US Today says. It's because it's something that he hasn't done yet and like everything else he has done, it will eventually fail. However like Caribou Barbie, it'll keep him in the news for awhile as he'll have an avenue to promote his other failed businesses while employing his former reality-show contender staff and the cast-offs from Faux.

the way out at NBC with the Apprentice as its ratings were slowly declining and it wasnt pulling in anywhere near where it had been pulling in during the first few seasons and it fits him because Trump is first and foremost about Trump and as president he would be restricted on what he could do or say.
So my bet is he does something to deliberately throw the election (with the blessing of the GOP leadership who care more about keeping control over the House and Senate than winning the office of President) and then he will try to get one of the networks to give him a show in a key time slot.

Are you suggesting that priebus wants other candidates (like jeb) the Koch brothers find more palatable on board?

And please catch me up on Adelson. He started off in favor of trump but then didn't donate to trump's campaign b/c of problems Adelson saw.

p.s. Hilarious pun/nickname. But after all that man has dipped into this election season, he ought to disinfect that thing, not just rinse.

here in Nevada. And we have some real POS's running on the Rethug ticket. But,what the heck,ol Sheldon is in the process of shoving it up his old friend Harry Reid's butt. Remember,it is pay back for Reid's efforts to take down McConell, and Harry's hand picked Dems are getting hit bigtime by Adelson.

Rinse has to look like a King maker in the eyes of his Wisconsin backers,as well as the Koch intrusts in Wisconsin. Here is just a few Companies owned or controlled by the Koch Brothers,Georgia Pacific Paper Mills and thing there are four still running,Flint Hill Resources,Oil refinery in Superior as well as Crenshaw,Mn right on the border south of Superior. Enbridge Pipeline,as well as Pulping operations. They have a finger in the Frack Sand Mines in the North Central Part of the State. And the list goes on and on.

A once number one Public Education System is falling apart as the result of Rethug State Control. State College System for the first time has fewer new Freshman enrollees. and that is scary.

All we need to know is,the attempt to remake Wisconsin into Kansas is well under way. Scary.

So, rinse penis wants to pave way for future for/with Scott Walker and with the help (and admiration and money) of Koch brothers (who like Scott walker) and Adelson -- yes? And it would help walker -- and hence penis -- to have other Repug wannabes Bush, Cruz, Kasich out of the way. (Probably wants rest of wannabes out of way, too, but perhaps doesn't have as convenient an excuse, I'm guessing).

In meantime, penis is just dealing w/ trump b/c [in his insane view] he "has to". And if so, Koch brothers & Adelson ... well ... are perhaps putting up w/ this b/c they have same insane "view" that penis "has to" deal w/ trump ... (given that they think gop a good idea).
