Hillary Clinton: Trump Is Projecting ‘Phony Strength’

Hillary Clinton said in a CNN interview this morning that Donald Trump might project strength to millions of Americans, but it’s “phony strength.”

After Clinton said that Trump’s divisive comments giving “aid and comfort” to ISIS have hurt counterterror measures, Chris Cuomo said, “It sounds like strength when he says it.”

Clinton responded, “There’s phony strength and there’s real strength. And it’s phony strength to not know what you’re talking about and to make outrageous statements that will actually make our job harder.”

She said that “real strength is leveling with the American people” and not making “us versus them” declarations.
