Donald Trump Says ‘I Want to Debate Very Badly.’ But He Has Conditions

Donald Trump said Tuesday that he will commit to three debates this fall with Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, but may try to re-negotiate the terms that have been agreed upon by a bipartisan commission.

“I will absolutely do three debates,” Trump told TIME in a phone interview. “I want to debate very badly. But I have to see the conditions.”

“I renegotiated the debates in the primaries, remember? They were making a fortune on them and they had us in for three and a half hours and I said that’s ridiculous,” Trump said. “I’m sure they’ll be open to any suggestions I have, because I think they’ll be very fair suggestions. But I haven’t [seen the conditions] yet. They’re actually presented to me tonight.”

By putting will before want, his "but" implies an external source will prevent him from doing the debate rather than him refusing to participate. Reverse the will and want statements and it has a totally different meaning. Nice setup for the eventual excuse.

1. No gotcha questions like anything about policy, issues, etc.

2. The moderators must be someone who doesn't hate Trump. Currently, that can be a choice of Sarah Palin, Ben Carson, Trump's butler, Scott Baio, or one of Trump's kids.

3. All questions about the penis will be welcome. Trump would like to talk about it in a debate again since he will have the larger penis of the two candidates.

4. The football game must be on a tv right in front of Clinton and the sound of the game must be louder then she can speak so no one will hear her with her facts and ideas.

5. The moderators must refer to Trump as Mr. President, Your Highness or a Golden God.
