GOP VP candidate Mike Pence to meet with family of Sarah Root while in the Bluffs today

Source: Omaha World Herald

Donald Trump's running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, will campaign in Council Bluffs on Monday.

The rally, at the Mid-America Center, starts at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 4 p.m.

While in the Bluffs, Pence will meet with the family of Sarah Root, who was killed Jan. 31 when the SUV she was driving was hit by a pickup truck driven by Eswin Mejia. Authorities say Mejia, a Honduran citizen who was in the United States illegally, was drunk and street racing when the crash occurred.

Mejia was charged with felony motor vehicle homicide, but he disappeared after posting 10 percent of his bail amount, or $5,000, and being freed from jail.

FULL story at link.

I do sympathize with the family. And this could be anyone's family AND it could have been any drunk driver, not necessarily an illegal immigrant and I would feel the same way.
