Clint Eastwood Praises Trump for Being ‘On To Something’

Source: Time

NEW YORK — Clint Eastwood has stopped short of endorsing Donald Trump, but in an interview in Esquire magazine he praised the Republican presidential candidate for being “on to something.”

In the interview posted online Wednesday, the actor-director hailed Trump as a foe of political correctness and lamented what he called “the kiss-ass generation.”

“Everybody’s walking on eggshells,” said Eastwood, 86. “We see people accusing people of being racist and all kinds of stuff. When I grew up, those things weren’t called racist.”

“What Trump is onto is he’s just saying what’s on his mind. And sometimes it’s not so good. And sometimes it’s. I mean, I can understand where he’s coming from, but I don’t always agree with it,” he said.

When Eastwood was "growing up" (he was born in 1930,) we still had legal segregation, separate water fountains, routine lynchings and the rest. The Army was segregated until Truman integrated it in 1948 (the last segregated unit was disbanded in 1954 when Eastwood was 24.) And, yes, it wasn't called being racist then, at least by most white people.

spent 10 minutes talking to a commode, pretending it's Trump -- sort of an upbeat, classier chair. Might have got one with gold fixtures to complete the scene.

"When I was a kid". . .76 years ago, black people couldn't vote, homosexuals were beaten for coming out, women had a million foot glass ceiling and Chinese people were still barred from entry due to the Chinese Exclusion Act. . .oh, and the only crime Japanese Americans did to get thrown into internment camps was the crime of lineage.

Fuck you, Clint! Isn't it time to force another woman in your life to get her tubes tied so you don't have a child with her so you have two with a secret mistress, like you did when you were with Sondra Locke?
