$80 million raise for Trump Campaign in July Trump campaign raises $80 million in July
Donald Trump's campaign grew its fundraising significantly in the month of July, announcing a total of approximately $80 million raised. The campaign reported ending the month with approximately $37 million in cash on hand.
The numbers mark a sharp uptick from June, when Trump's campaign raised about $51 million.
"We are extremely proud of our 69 percent growth in small dollar donations which shows the broad based support of over one million donors across America," said Steven Mnuchin, the Trump campaign's finance chairman, in a release.
Speaking on CNBC Wednesday morning, Mnuchin said that the $80 million in fundraising "includes $64 million of small dollar donations, and $16 million of donations with the [Republican National Committee]."
Trump has now put more than $56 million of his own money into the race, the campaign announced, including a recent $2 million injection through a matching program.

(260 posts)although I'm sure that because of the Convention they did raise 'some' money but probably not the amounts they are saying they raised.
And you can bet that more than a few donors are none too happy about handing over the cash what with the week-long (and counting) implosion that's happening.

On Tuesday, Clinton reported raising nearly $90 million in July, ending the month with a $58 million war chest.
During July of the 2012 election, President Barack Obama's campaign raised more than $75 million, while Mitt Romney's campaign raised over $100 million.
