Hillary Clinton raised $63 million for her campaign in July, her spokesman said Tuesday, an increase of more than 50% over her June haul that came as she officially clinched the Democratic nomination.
The Clinton campaign ended July with $58 million in the bank, likely widening Mrs. Clinton’s already hefty fundraising advantage over her Republican rival, Donald Trump. Mr. Trump ended June with $20 million in the bank, and has not yet released a cash-on-hand figure for July.
Mrs. Clinton also raised $26 million for two joint funds with the Democratic National Committee and state parties.
At a rally in Ohio on Monday, Mr. Trump hinted at his own fundraising totals, saying he had raised $35.8 million from small donors “in a month.” He did not specify whether those funds were raised for his campaign or his joint funds with the Republican Party. In June, Mr. Trump raised about $26 million for his campaign.
