But in a home for the disabled, I can see how that would be possible. How horrible and tragic.

America's had worse gun massacre totals than that how many times during Obama's term alone? I can't even remember them all, not to mention the hundreds of mass killings with totals less than that.

Knives aren't used in America because our suicidal, alienated men know it's too much work. Guns are so much easier to massacre dozens of people. Knives are messy and you get tired stabbing and stabbing, even when your victims can't run away.

This proves nothing that supports your agenda.

We need to learn to recognize and reach out to disturbed people before they can act, by providing them with the help they need. In that way we can lessen violence across the spectrum.

15. Update on killer's history and motive

...In mid-February, Uematsu visited the official residence of House of Representatives Speaker Tadamori Oshima in Tokyo and sought to hand him a letter that said, “I am able to kill a total of 470 disabled people,” according to the police and other sources.

Identifying the facility as one of his targets, Uematsu said, “My goal is creating a world in which euthanasia can be given to people with multiple disabilities — in cases where it is extremely difficult for them to live at home and be socially active — with the consent of their guardians.”

On Feb. 18, several days after he visited the Lower House speaker’s house, Uematsu told co-workers he would “kill the disabled,” prompting the police to question him at the local police station the following day.

After he repeated his threat to commit mass killing during questioning, the Sagamihara Municipal Government decided to commit Uematsu to a mental hospital out of concern he could harm others, and he quit the facility the same day, according to the city and prefectural governments. He was kept at the hospital until March 2. He also tested positive for marijuana while at the hospital.
