(92,219 posts)to vote for her anyway?
The fact is, over 80% of folks who supported Bernie will be voting for her, along with some extremely important demographics relating to ethnicity, gender, liberals, and moderates.
mnhtnbb
(31,392 posts)just google it...anywhere from 55% or less of Bernie supporters will vote for Hillary.
She needs every vote she can get with her high negatives.
Along comes confirmation that the DNC was not objective...DWS is forced to resign...and Hillary hires her for her campaign.
still_one
(92,219 posts)As far as for your "confirmation", there is absolutely no evidence that the DNC interfered, by those emails.
http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/24/politics/dnc-email-leak-wikileaks/index.html
Regardless, Hillary IS the nominee, Tim Kaine is the Vice President, and we are going to win in November, so I guess there will be a fair number of unhappy Bernie supporters, if YOUR polls are correct, which they are not.
When Bernie endorses Hillary officially at the Convention, I wonder how many of those so-called Bernie supporters will throw Bernie under the bus.
As for the high negatives. Bullshit. The media, and the Hilary haters have been spewing that nonsense for decades, and like most everything else, they will be wrong again
As for that poll you referred to, in it, 25% of Sanders supporters say they will vote for Trump, that pretty much tells you that the poll is bullshit
No real Sanders supporter is going to vote for a racist, sexist asshole

(407 posts)But you got rolled. Your leadership picked your leadership for you.
I really hope Trump fails. But that's only going to happen if Hillary supporters stop being so arrogant and talk about the issues their allies have with your system.
My two cents anyway. And they're only Canadian pennies and we don't even use them anymore, so take it for what it's worth.
still_one
(92,219 posts)vulgar name in the book, including the "c" word, and her supporters weren't treated much better:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1280104210
As far as our allies having issues with our system, I think they would be better served if they focused on their own countries issues.
By allies I meant Hillary's supporter's allies - and by that I meant Bernie supporters. I wasn't trying to confuse the issue by talking about other countries.
I have no respect for anyone who directly insults anyone, especially with that word. I just find the "Hillary won - get over it" attitude to be too ugly to not respond to when, from what I saw, she did not win fairly.
still_one
(92,219 posts)issue, I have a problem with both sides "taunting" each other, not for the sake of a discussion or issues, but flaming.
Laha
(407 posts)Thank you for giving such a reasonable response. I've tried to take a step back from everything, the world is pretty painful to watch right now. But I haven't been able to keep my mouth shut when I see allies attacking each other. (Not just involving American election issues either.)
Good luck. All my opinions aside, the last thing I want to see is another Republican administration south of us again.

(58,785 posts)of Sanders voters intend to vote for Hillary. I'm sure many disapprove of this or that, I do myself, but the only "poll" that matters will be on November 8.
If you've ever been shocked and unbelieving at election results and didn't like the feeling, this may be time to look thoughtfully at all the information being put out there.
Jemmons
(711 posts)So weak early predictors do have some advantage.
And why gamble with an uncertain election result in the first place.
Why not just be a bit mature about it and try to get as many disaffected people on board again.
I simply just don't understand the dismissive nature of a lot of post here on DU. Seems quite immature to me.

But that's just Rove being Rovian. Expected from someone on the OTHER side.
Pushing the DWS issue, the day before the convention, some implying greater consequence is called for...I don't see how any of it helps put a dem in the White House.
And isn't that what we're supposed to be doing right now?
There's a time and a place for cleaning house. And believe me, I agree her tenure was done. She needed to resign. A house cleaning was called for. But the day before the convention, one public interview after another....just not cool.
There's a time and a place for cleaning house...

TipTok
(2,474 posts)The leaked e-mails finally forced the issue and threatened to overtake the coverage of the convention.
With DWS 'falling on her sword' (if only to take a cushy gig with her patron) it provides closure and all the DNC has to deal with is internet grumblings instead of a continual media blast.
They consider the matter closed and this was the lesser of two evils.

As the captain of the DNC ship, she's ultimately responsible for DNC conduct.
And I'd wager that if Wiki released thousands of emails by Bernie's staff, there'd be some wingdingers about Hillary.
That's politics. When emotions run high, people can behave in ways they later regret.
I have. Haven't you?
Duckhunter935
(16,974 posts)Why are you trying to compare that with partisan Bernie staffers unless as many suspect the DNC was actually part if the Clinton campaign.
kstewart33
(6,551 posts)Beyond writing juvenile emails.
Aside from the limited the number of debates and their scheduling which was corrected, what did the DNC actually do that treated Bernie unfairly?
I've read a lot of suspicions as you say, but where's the proof?
And if there is no proof - actual facts to prove those suspicions - then the comparison is an accurate one.
