Secret Service Investigating Trump Adviser Al Baldasaro for Hillary Execution Comments

The Secret Service is officially investigating Al Baldasaro, an adviser to the Donald Trump campaign for veterans issues, who called for Hillary Clinton’s execution for “treason.”

“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of this matter and will conduct the appropriate investigation,” spokesman Robert Hoback told The Daily Beast on Wednesday afternoon.

“Anyone that commits treason should be shot,” Baldasaro told The Daily Beast earlier in the day. “I believe Hillary Clinton committed treason. She put people in danger. When people take confidential material off a server, you’re sharing information with the enemy. That’s treason.”

Baldasaro was expanding on a comment he made on Tuesday, when he called for Clinton to be “put in the firing line” over her mishandling of classified emails.

The fallout from Republican state Rep. Al Baldasaro’s remarks that Hillary Clinton should be “put in the firing line and shot for treason” came quickly on Wednesday, with the most serious reaction coming from the U.S. Secret Service.

Wednesday, Baldasaro, told WMUR.com:

“I’m a military man first, and anyone who takes information about our CIA or Secret Service and people at our embassy and puts it out on a server where anyone can grab it, putting Americans in danger to be killed, should be held accountable.”

“As far as I’m concerned, it is treason and the penalty for treason is the firing squad – or maybe it’s the electric chair now,” Baldasaro said.

Baldasaro is well-known in New Hampshire for his blunt style, both during the presidential campaign and at times when speaking on the floor of the New Hampshire House. The national media has come to know Baldasaro during the campaign.

(CNN)The US Secret Service is investigating an informal adviser to Donald Trump's presidential campaign after he called for Hillary Clinton's execution.
Al Baldasaro, a New Hampshire state representative, told radio host Jeff Kuhner Tuesday that Clinton "should be put in the firing line and shot for treason."

"The U.S. Secret Service is aware of this matter and will conduct the appropriate investigation," said Shawn L. Holtzclaw, a spokesman for the Secret Service.
Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks told CNN the campaign "does not agree with those statements."

She declined to characterize Baldasaro's role with the campaign or whether he would continue to travel with Trump on occasion.

Baldasaro, who serves as an informal adviser to Trump on veterans issues, has been one of Trump's most prominent supporters on the campaign trail, frequently introducing the candidate at events in New Hampshire. He has also traveled with the campaign to events around the country.................
