Clinton vs. Trump Leaves 6 in 10 Unhappy; Contest Tightens as Conventions Loom (POLL)
Source: ABC News
Most Americans express dismay at their choices in the 2016 presidential election, with a tighter contest between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump reflecting damage to Clinton from her email controversy but with continued weak ratings for Trump across a range of key measures.
In apparent fallout from the email issue that returned to the fore last week, 72 percent in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll see Clinton as too willing to bend the rules. But 56 percent see Trump as biased against women and minorities, and six in 10 call him unqualified for office.
One result: On the eve of the Republican and Democratic conventions, a remarkable 58 percent describe themselves as dissatisfied with a choice between the presumptive nominees.
Preferences have narrowed from a 12-point Clinton advantage among registered voters in mid-June - after a series of campaign missteps by Trump - to a non-significant 4-point gap now. That follows FBI Director James Comeys characterization of Clintons email practices as secretary of state as extremely careless, albeit not warranting criminal charges.

(5,902 posts)Whatever differences I might have with Hillary on this or that policy one thing's undeniable: that is one strong lady.

(92,397 posts)investigation was actually about.
So what kind of question did they ask in the poll, "Is Hillary willing to bend the rules"?
How about a question regarding the media, "Is the media trustworthy"? A media outlet can't sponsor that poll though, because that would interfere with their source of revenue.
This is like the Joe McCarthy period, where the media would report loud and clear who was accused of being a communist, and then when it was found that the accusation was false, to quietly ignore or barely correct the record.

On a personal not, I don't have a huge issue with voting with Clinton. While not perfect, I've yet to meet anyone in my life who is.

He was just throwing a bone to his republican pals. The White House has been hacked before, the State Department has been hacked before. I'm pretty sure he server wasn't.

IKR, about the race "allegedly" tightening presidential race. But, the networks as most of us KNOW want a "horse race" narrative, and Hillary up in the by either a healthy single-digit number or her being up by double-digit numbers doesn't work well WITH their "horse race" narrative .
