Trump postpones VP announcement, citing attack in France
Source: The Washington Post
Donald Trump is postponing unveiling his vice-presidential pick by at least a day.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee had scheduled a news conference in New York on Friday to name his running mate. But in a tweet, Trump said he would postpone the event because of Thursdays attack in southern France that left several dozen dead.

@realDonaldTrump
In light of the horrible attack in Nice, France, I have postponed tomorrow's news conference concerning my Vice Presidential announcement.

(20,192 posts)he can see the response without making it official. I haven't really heard much positive, even from the right, so I wonder if Trump is having second thoughts.

(16,104 posts)phoning in on Greta Van Something's Fox show.
She asked him what would be the first thing to do seeing what is happening in France.
His reply: "First thing Obama needs to call them 'radical Islamic terrorists.' We can't stop them if we don't call them what they are."
Even Greta didn't get it!
She asked him, "After that, what's the first thing we need to do?"
I don't know what he said next - I couldn't watch anymore.

(65,391 posts)severely criticized it--especially since his kids and his SIL are the ones who pushed Pence when Trump himself supposedly preferred Christie or even Gingrich.
By pushing back the announcement he could be trying to weasel out of the Pence choice, even though the stories say that he has already offered the position and Pence accepted.
