Romney Adviser Faults Obama For Failing To Pass DREAM Act, Which Romney Pledged To Veto

Source: ThinkProgress

Throughout the GOP presidential primary, Mitt Romney has repeatedly said that he opposes the DREAM Act and has even pledged to veto the measure if it ever found its way to his desk. But on Sunday morning, Romney adviser Carlos Gutierrez blamed Democrats for the DREAM Act’s failure in Congress:

GUTIERREZ: Before an election, let’s promise something to Hispanics. That bill had things in there that couldn’t get bipartisan support. Republicans said don’t ram that bill now, we’re in the middle of an election year and you did it anyway knowing that it wouldn’t pass. But it didn’t matter, you made the promise, you got the Hispanic vote, and that has been the pattern. This administration has played with Hispanics.

This is very logical for them to say. Just like someone said below they can ding the Dems for even having the idea.

I mean right here:

GUTIERREZ: Before an election, let’s promise something to Hispanics. That bill had things in there that couldn’t get bipartisan support. Republicans said don’t ram that bill now, we’re in the middle of an election year and you did it anyway knowing that it wouldn’t pass. But it didn’t matter, you made the promise, you got the Hispanic vote, and that has been the pattern. This administration has played with Hispanics.

Seems logical to me. They make good use of their obstruction to even if it were true that this would not have passed it being an election year. Heh these folks are masters at distorting stuff and right now dude is being honest even (for them) lol.

That's not what they are saying. They are just saying it did not pass. Period. Don't ya hate it I do.

You have to listen very closely to what they say... the other side of that is watch what they do, not what they so.... Loool they've (GOP) got the game down quite well not that I'm not saying anything new with that to anyone that knows better already. I would call it 'propaganda of deception' myself, and they are experts at it.

For their advantage! That Obama and Congress have not done enough, is what they are saying - the leftward side of the complaint. Yet while they themselves would deport every DREAMER!

The gall of these people has no end!

It's not Romney's problem now. He did what he needed to do. Now the ball is in the Dem's court again, they have not accomplished their goal, and now are being penalized for it. It is pretty simple.

PS It's not Mormons, it's a GOP thing. Damn, no wonder we are screwed.

EVERYTHING the GOP does has a fine print section to it, EVERYTHING, and people have not learned to read all that 'fine print' yet I'd guess.
Someone else on the board has a quote in their sig: 'The big print giveth, the fine print taketh' I Love it. Have not seen it in a while.

Notice what they are doing - just trying to get the Hispanics to go against Obama - yet they would do far worse. They are hoping some dumb people will fall for it - all out in the open.
