Report: Trump Meeting With Senate Republicans Turns Combative

Source: Talking Points Memo

The Washington Post reported Thursday that the meeting Senate Republicans had with Donald Trump turned combative when the real estate mogul started calling out specific legislators who were publicly skeptical about supporting him.

The publication, which spoke to several people on the condition of anonymity, reported that Trump had a particularly tense exchange with Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), who has said he couldn't support Trump after he proposed a ban on Muslims from entering the country.

Trump reportedly said at the meeting that he has not yet attacked Flake hard but threatened to begin to do so. Flake told Trump that he needed to stop attacking Mexicans and the businessman said to Flake that he would lose his reelection bid. Flake then reportedly informed Trump that he was not on the ballot this year. A spokesman for Flake didn't return the Post's request for comment.

Trump also called out Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL) who withdrew his endorsement after Trump criticized the ethnicity of a federal judge. Trump said he would win Illinois, typically a Democratic state, in a landslide. Kirk wasn't present at the meeting.

is born with a silver spoon in his ******
And someone who thinks that he can just bully everyone, and threaten everyone on his silver spoon attitude.

And alas for the republicans in three weeks you are going to have to make a big decision, and I can't wait to see your right wing party implode at the brown shirt party, and then we are going to see Ms. Kendal Unruh and her class nominate another right winger

Then at 6:00 in the AM, if we want too (not me) we can have the Mika and Joe 3 hour coffee show come out and say this fascists has got his "groove " back, along with everyone on this show's panel bobbing there heads up and down like bobble heads----------------amazing

over 40 times by wallstreeters and banksters. Nearly a quarter million dollars a speech? I am suspicious but still know she is 100Xs better than Trump. Usually multi millionaires don't talk to me.

Just watched the movie I got Who Do we Invade Next. It was great. Now I'm going to send a few bucks her way. I'll knock on doors and make calls for her, even though I supported Bernie. Can't have that pumpkin head as president.

..in the Marshall chain, with a catalog's worth of REI gear.
He survived to write about it in the "Style" section of The Washington Post.

Later, as a US Senator, he returned to the island with his Senate colleague, Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-New Mexico) and a Discovery Channel film crew
The senators brought no water or food, and Discovery Channel gave them just three items,
(the only item that's been revealed is a machete, which Flake used to hack open coconuts)

When Heinrich showed Flake how to eat a giant clam, Flake teased that Republicans are better at killing and Democrats at eating.
Heinrich replied that Flake's been spending too much time with Paul Ryan.
Flake also joked that it was the first time he ever slept with a Democrat.

(Can you imagine Donald Trump spending 7 days on a desert island without food or water?)

But I can imagine with MUCH more pleasure Trump being on a desert island without food and water for a couple of years.
