Ryan meets with Romney at weekend retreat

Source: TMJ4 (AP)

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Mitt Romney's top donors are getting a chance to dine this weekend with the presidential candidate and other Republican heavyweights.

Romney is hosting a posh retreat in Park City, Utah where donors will get to attend private meetings and receptions. According to a campaign email, they'll get a chance at seeing GOP stars like Arizona Sen. John McCain, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Donors who have raised at least $50,000 for Romney's White House run, can sit in on strategy meetings that provide detailed updates of the campaign's progress.

Months ago I predicted Rmoney's VP would be Ryan or Pawlenty- nice, boring white bread guys who are not going to rob
MSM spotlight from Rmoney- as Rubio certainly would, and as Painlin did with stumpy McCain the last time round

5. Either this is for show, or it's desperation time in Romney's VP search

Of course, considering their presidential candidate, this was already a desperation move.

But Paul Ryan? He's presidential material like a worm is Space Shuttle pilot material. Then again....Palin....

Ryan might give Romney some cred with the far right with his draconian budget stuff, but superficially, he doesn't counterbalance Romney's Thurston Howell image.

Probably nothing short of Archie Bunker would soften Willard's Thurston Howell image.

Of course, there IS always Louie Gohmert. We Texans have nightmares like that under the proper atmospheric conditions.

And when somebody like that talks about caribou having sex near pipelines, it's easy to imagine caribou getting more than him.

So how is Rmoney going to spin this disaster?

He's trailing in almost every demographic and among many key groups...so how does he tell his "money people" they've wasted their investment?
!"
sort of reminds me of the story about the old Marine Company commander who told his men: "The enemy has closed in on our left flank, our right flank and is moving to our rear...we're completely surrounded...THE SOBS WON'T GET AWAY THIS TIME"

13. $100,000 To Play A Round Of Golf With Romney
Sun Jun 24, 2012, 02:39 PM

And Republican criticize Obama for playing too much golf. With Republicans is is paying too much for golf. And it shows that our government is for sale to the highest bidder. $50,000 will get you a meet and greet but it takes $100,000 to have quality time. Gotcha.
