LGBT groups blast Trump for voicing support for HB2 in Raleigh

Source: The News & Observer

Trump was asked for his opinion about the controversial LGBT law during an interview with The News & Observer ahead of his Raleigh rally.

“The state, they know what’s going on, they see what’s happening, and generally speaking I’m with the state on things like this,” he said. “I’ve spoken with your governor, I’ve spoken with a lot of different people, and I’m going with the state.”

On Wednesday, Human Rights Campaign and Equality North Carolina – the leading opponents of HB2 – issued a news release blasting Trump’s “endorsement” of the law.

“Let’s be clear, Donald Trump just gave one of the nation’s worst laws for LGBTQ people a full-throated endorsement,” JoDee Winterhof of Human Rights Campaign said in the news release.“By buddying up with Gov. Pat McCrory on the deeply discriminatory HB2, Donald Trump is unabashedly embracing a dangerous law that takes away the civil rights of LGBTQ people and has cost North Carolina not only its reputation but millions of dollars in economic losses.”

And I would rather pick up worm-infested dog diarrhoea than sit through a Trump speech. And I don't have one of those little dogs that's easy to clean up after, I have two big German Shepherds who like marking their territory.
