Chilcot: Jeremy Corbyn calls Iraq War 'an act of military aggression launched on a false pretext'

Jeremy Corbyn has apologised on behalf of the Labour party for the decision to invade Iraq in 2003, following the publication of the Chilcot report into the Iraq War.
The Labour leader said the war was "an act of military aggression launched on a false pretext", and described the aftermath of invasion as a "colonial style occupation".

(2,208 posts)Besides, we have already developed a new pretext, oops, I mean justified reason to invade other countries. It's called The Right to Protect people from their own government by overthrowing that government. It's our justification for bombing Libya and turning it into a failed state and its our justification for arming jihadist moderate Rebels in Syria's bloody civil war. We can just retroactively apply the excuse, oops, I mean justification to our invasion of Iraq.
Forget international law and sovereign states, we the US have the right to protect people anywhere in the world even if it kills them and destroys their country.
