Donald Trump Accuses Hillary Clinton of Bribery in Email Investigation
Source: MSN/Time
Taking the stage in North Carolina just hours after Hillary Clinton and President Obama left the state, Donald Trump slammed the duos joint campaign appearance and accused Clinton of bribing Attorney General Loretta Lynch for favorable treatment in her email investigation.
Its a bribe, Trump said of Clinton reportedly being open to keeping Lynch on as attorney general. I mean the attorney general is sitting there saying, if I get Hillary off the hook, Im going to have four more years or eight more years. But if she loses, Im out of a job. Its a bribe. Its a disgrace.
Lynch said Friday that she would accept the FBI and prosecutors recommendation on charges related to the investigation of Clintons private email server. On Tuesday, FBI director James Comey recommended that there be no criminal charges against Clinton, despite finding her conduct to be extremely careless.
Trump also accused Obama of being in on the conspiracy. Hes campaigning and this was set up a long time ago, and he knew that the FBI was going to do this because it would have been very uncomfortable for him to campaign with her actually if they didnt take a pass on crooked Hillary, Trump said. So they take a pass, they announce theyre not going to press charges, lo and behold, a few hours later, lets have a press conference, lets do a speech together.

(19,567 posts)I'm pretty sure Twitter is what he uses for his daily briefing. I'm willing to bet he doesn't even realize the DOJ and the FBI aren't the same entity. Just like a lot of posters on Twitter don't know.
Not to mention an investigation of this length has a paper trail a mile long showing which way it was heading for months!
Stupid people make my head hurt. A stupid GOP candidate for president makes my head hurt AND gives me ulcers!

(13,614 posts)It's remarkable to me that he's so stuck in primary mode. Everything he says is tailored exclusively to his "base." Nothing he says will sway anyone, let alone anyone not already in his corner.
But, given his personality disorder, he's doomed to continue on this route because it's all he knows. All his life, he's been the kid that habitually says anything outlandish merely to keep the spotlight on him. While it certainly works with the freakshow-obsessed media, it won't garner any votes beyond his minuscule "base."

"I'm not knocking the attorney general," Trump said, only to directly knock Lynch in his next sentences:
"What I'm saying is how can you say that? It's a bribe. The attorney general is sitting there saying, 'If I get Hillary off the hook, I'm going to have more years or eight more years, but if she loses I'm out of a job.' It's a bribe. It's a disgrace."

So I suspect that even a half-hearted investigation could find at least one instance where Trump himself has bribed officials.

The US Attorney General can walk right out of that job into a partnership at any top shelf law firm in the country, for a buttload more than the AG's salary.
This guy is one of the most astoundingly clueless people I have ever seen running for president.

(3,231 posts)I wish it would be practical to sue his ass, but it's not. He is inciting these people and this country will be even more ungovernable after she wins. The Obama attacks are going to seem to have been nothing compare to what they are going to do to Clinton. He is practically inciting riots with the rhetoric he uses.
The worst part is that people fall for it. They believe the stupidest shit that anyone with half a brain could figure out is blatant lies.
