Sanders participates in vigil

Source: Bristol Herald Courier

In his brief remarks, Sanders said the Orlando shooting was carried out by "one hateful person" and that it was not committed by the Muslim people. To say otherwise, "is bigotry pure and simple," he said.

"Our job is not to allow politicians, Mr. Trump or anyone else, to divide us up by where our family came from, the color of our skin, our religion or our sexual orientation," Sanders said, referring to Republican presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump.

And when something like this happens, the first thing people ask is when "the Muslim community is going to speak out against this type of thing." It makes me wonder why christians don't all get lumped into one group whenever one of them does something crazy.

Muslims are far more likely than Christians to think that violence and murder are appropriate responses to having their religious sensibilities offended.

How non-violent is the Christian Gawd? You don't want to make Him angry! He sure can't control His rages. He is a narcissistic lunatic who needs praise and worship constantly.
The Bible's description is of a maniac with emotional problems, insecurities, and uncontrollable jealous rages. Murders children for bad mouthing parents, or making fun of a bald head. There is long history of a relationship between religion and violence. All religion including the Christian religion.

There have been individual acts of violence and crime, and the mass acts like the Crusades or Holy Wars, which are linked to politics and culture, and in many instances Gawd instructed people who are in conflicts to rape, pillage and burn the cities (in that order) a perfect being with these abnormal emotions?

Violence is definitely the most often mentioned activity in the Bible. There is a huge conflict between what is written in the Bible and civilized people's concept of what is just, loving, caring and benevolent. God justifies slavery and defines women as inferiors and the property of men. There is no industrialized or civilized country that would sanction genocide, but Gawd ordered it many times.

Anyone can deny these facts, but they are the facts, and these facts seriously question the morality of the Gawd of the Bible.

The bible is full of contradictions and unresolved problems with science and math. God didn't know about pi.

If you can produce some evidence of god that I can examine; or present me with "evidence" that this god intervened in anything, then you will have something, but as of right now, you don't.

After being schooled by this peace loving god's word, why then did His minions replace science with superstition, burn libraries and murder scholars? Some were tortured to death. Believers were always really insecure lunatics.

Furthermore, nobody should expect "god" to solve any problems since he never has, even so, it might prove that he existed if he did. Science has solved all the problems. The bible couldn't even identify the problems.

It's god that is strong not man. It's "His" strength not your own. Leaning on His ability and not on your own. You replace self-reliance with God's ability. It's dependency on god. Self-confidence reduces to dependency on god. Try to kick the habit.

Acts 19:12 - So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

Why would anyone need higher intelligence to wave handkerchiefs or aprons at sick people?

That's in the bible, but I'm going to the doctor if I get sick.
