(26,299 posts)in about the money not to mention it makes me wonder if the money hasnt been sent yet then could we be looking at something where he borrowed the money for some reason and now that questions are being raised he is scrambling to get it from somewhere else to cover it up?

(51,574 posts)I think you you raising the issue of this being a Trump cover up is spot on.

(5,902 posts)And just as importantly: did anyone in our so-called press check all these charities to see if any were dubious?

It's called follow up and accountability Dirty Donny.
Terms he's never heard before.

(10,749 posts)First, trust but verify doesn't apply. Verify, verify, verify.
Next, check each and every one of these organizations to a) confirm that they exists and b) that they received the money.
Next, check each and every one of these groups to verify that they do what they say they do and that they are, essentially, legit, and not merely fronts of some kind for bogus fund-raising operations, or connected to Trump in some way.
I'll bet the following applies to more than 50% of the money referred to:
Organization is brand new, no track record, no fund-raising or fund-disbursing history.
Organizations that have a track record are shown to apply more than 50% of their fundraising to administration/salaries, not to disbursement to vets or their families.
Organizations are shown to have only limited association with veterans.
And, finally, that the majority of these groups are associated with white supremacy organizations in some way.
Am I a cynic and skeptic? You bet!
