How Trump clarified his position on taxing the wealthy

Source: CNN

Donald Trump clarified Monday that he doesn't plan to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans in the aggregate, despite seemingly saying so during interviews aired Sunday.

"On my plan they're going down. But by the time it's negotiated, they'll go up," Trump said Sunday on ABC's "This Week."

But Trump told CNN's Chris Cuomo on "New Day" that he was referring to changes to "my tax proposal" -- not the existing tax code -- when he said rates could go up. He meant to communicate that he was open to top rates higher than those in his proposal as part of the negotiations to get tax reform passed, but also maintained they would remain lower than the current rate.

"Now, if I increase it on the wealthy, they're still going to pay less than they pay now," the presumptive Republican nominee said. "I'm not talking about increasing from this point. I'm talking about increasing from my tax proposal."

I recall that, this morning the message was that he was going to "run to the left" of Clinton?

1. So, his tax rates will still have lower taxes for the wealthy, just not as low as he would like.

Trump will be back to saying that the federal minimum wage is too high @ $7.25, that the rich are taxed too much, that he didn't say women should be jailed if they sought an abortion if Roe v Wade was overturned and that Hillary Clinton & Elizabeth Warren wore combat boots

I expect nothing but foul stench coming and lies to come out of his mouth at ALL times.

continues to change his use of words. But the GOP is against any tax increases, they want taxes lowered. Norquist made that clear today, cut taxes. cut spending.

he didn't mind paying more in taxes and his wealthy friends wouldn't mind doing the same. This is the problem with Trump, he is a compassionate conservative to those who want him to be a little liberal and hardcore tea parties amongst his far right supporters.

He also said he was different from the other republicans when it comes to the minimum wage, giving hints that he would like to raise but if suddenly he gets some push back from his supporters then he will clarify it out of the record. The man is the ultimate politician.
