‘Choose me’: Sarah Palin says she’s ‘as vetted as anybody in the country’ for Trump’s VP
Source: Raw Story
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) on Sunday said that she is ready to serve as Donald Trumps vice presidential running mate, but she worried about being a burden to the presumptive nominee.
I think Im pretty much as vetted as anybody in the country could be vetted, Palin told CNNs Jake Tapper. I think there are so many other great people out there in American that could serve in this position.
I think if somebody wanted to choose me, they already know who I am, what I stand for, she added. They wouldnt be in for any surprises.
But Palin acknowledged that she also came with baggage.

I for one will sit back and enjoy the FAIL if Palin is the VP choice for Drumpf--Which is what everyone should hope for--we quit trying to correct these bastards, and let them fuck up big time.

(1,178 posts)Trump is savvy enough to know that the Republican establishment hates him and would like to get rid of him. If his VP were someone acceptable to them (Kasich, Rubio, etc.) the Republicans would be happy to file articles of impeachment the first time The Donald did something stupid (which probably wouldn't take long). With expected Democratic support, they would then get their establishment president. If Palin were VP, however, NO ONE would try to remove Trump because the alternative, hard as that is to believe, is so much worse. Trump would be wise to pick a veep who is crazier than he is.

(6,279 posts)then the realization sets in: Palin wouldn't be a terrible pick. If you're a potential Trump voter you're not looking establishment cred or even sanity. Picking a woman will give Trump a way of taking the edge off his misogyny for some voters. Fiorina bet on the wrong horse, while Palin went for Trump early.
If America goes for a Trump/Palin ticket, better to know we're beyond salvation in November than to drag out the death of US democracy any longer.

Trump in 1999.
"Trump said others he would consider as possible Cabinet members include Rep. Charles Rangel (D-New York) as secretary of housing and urban development and retired Gen. Colin Powell as secretary of state.
As for possible choices for treasury secretary or vice president, Trump mentioned General Electric head Jack Welch. "He's ... probably the greatest corporate leader in the history of a major company," Trump said. "Somebody like that would be absolutely incredible."
Trump also mentioned talk show host Oprah Winfrey again as a possible running mate, even though Winfrey has said she is not interested."

(8,971 posts)The term "Going Rogue" did not originate from Palin. Her campaign staff did the honors with that one. They quickly concluded that she was not up to the job, was politically ignorant and completely bored with policy details, and resorted to throwing temper tantrums when she wasn't going to get her way. Yes, much is already known about Saran Palin.
