By Jessie Hellmann

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton is holding on to her lead in New York, leading rival Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) by 10 points in a new poll released just days ahead of the state’s critical primary Tuesday.

Clinton leads Sanders 53 percent to 43 percent, according to a CBS News Battleground Tracker poll.

..................

That poll of 2,050 registered voters, conducted April 13–15, has a margin of error of 3.3 percentage points.

In California, another big contest for the Democrats, Clinton leads Sanders 52 percent to 40 percent.

NY as expected although Bernie is from NY, Hillary's from Arkansas not that it matters and it shouldn't. But yeah Bernie was totally accurate when he said if he did win NY then the race is done. Either way getting on DU less and less. Looking for a better place for free speech.

when they said "... registered voters ..."
was it just Democratic registered, or did it include Independents?

The article doesn't mention, but they could have polled Republucans as well.

I'm sure as we get closer to the election, those numbers will contract.

You can either be registered either as a democrat or "No party preference" (which is what we commonly call independent, but is confusing since California has an "independent party&quot . If you are a registered with any other party you cannot vote in the dem primary

I am ready for this to be done with. Tell you what though, Bernie mania has convinced me to reevaluate my fondness for the occupy/far left crowd I used to pal around with. Given a chance they become as strident and accusatory and non-pragmatic as the Tea Party.

Proudly pulling the lever for Sec. Clinton in NY tomorrow. And to think six months ago I changed my NY registration from Ind to Dem so I could vote for Bernie as a little protest gesture, and now I can't wait to vote against him, or rather his rabid Marxist and (more my problem with them) misogynistic acolytes.

Especially someone with your supposed education and travel.

So...because Bernie, and by extension his supporters, and by further extension the occupy movement before Sanders run, have been so damn vocal about how all the $ is filtered upwards to the 1%, especially during the last 40 years....you are done with that whole viewpoint.

Like you were once in support, but now, after having to hear about it day in and day out, you are sick of it and just want to go back to how it is. How things are supposed to be, where politicians take kickback $ from the wealthy and cater to them first, and if there's anything left over they may...may allow some to trickle down. Even though that path is unsustainable as the wealthy get richer and poor get poorer. No matter you will cheer on Hillary when she is President and announces that the TPP is actually a good deal for you.

You will embrace the status quo because....you'd rather live in a fantasy world where Trickle Down is going to... this time...solve all the problems. Giving all your hard earned taxes back into the coffers of the wealthy like Donald Trump via tax breaks while cutting social services, education, and infrastructure spending to do so....because....? Thats just the way it is? Because...You think some Sanders supporters have been just a little too enamored of Sanders the person?...

Wow wow
