The Texas teenager who killed four people and injured nine in a drunk driving crash and then avoided jail will appear in court Wednesday after violating his probation when he and his mother went on the run to Mexico in December.
Affluenza teen Ethan Couch turned 19 on Monday and will appear in adult court where he will receive the new conditions of his probation, which could include up to 180 days in jail.
He was initially sentenced to 10 years probation and a year of court-ordered rehab, which it has now been revealed cost taxpayers $200,000 because his parents could not afford to pay.
Couch finished in February 2015 and went on the run just months later in December, shortly after video emerged of him at a party surrounded by alcohol.

(44,173 posts)Would the Sanders plan fully fund his education at a UT school?
He won't spend more than a few months in jail, even for this latest screwup, so what stops him from getting free tuition were the Sanders plan to become law?
Perhaps a provision disqualifying students convicted of violent felonies would be a good idea.

How much money will Hillary supported private prisons make off his incarceration? Maybe enough to pay for someone else's education!

But hey, don't let that stop you from your disparagement of Bernie.
Please, do describe the train of thought this observation arrived on...

(4,695 posts)behavior? How many probation officers would write a letter of recommendation for the young man for his application?
Sanders Plan would pay for: Excellent students with the best behavior and good grades accepted into a college or university in any state based on records and recommendation letters and other information submitted after a screening process. A possible criminal history is always checked into during the screening process for every applicant.
