A Detroit man is now facing multiple charges, including felony murder. Quietly shaking his head -- as his charges are read, Dejuan Watson was arraigned Monday.

"You are charged with count one homicide, felony murder maximum penalty life without parole," said the judge.

Watson, 23, was arraigned on armed robbery, felony firearm and drug charges for the killing of 51-year-old Modou Diagne, an Uber driver sent to pick Watson up last month.

People who drive taxi and rideshare are seriously underpaid for the thankless and dangerous job they do.

Even if the corporate a-holes at Uber say "No need to tip", PLEASE take care of your driver.

But it is a very dangerous city. Despite the new glitz they are trying to throw on it.

It was a murder committed during the commission of a felony (armed robbery). So it is a "1st Degree Murder", with an automatic life sentence without parole, not "Felony Murder", which was abolished in 1980 in Michigan.
