Investigators on scene of officer-involved shooting

A apparently unarmed man was shot and killed by a Houston police officer after the man allegedly became agitated and charged the officer.
Houston Police Department spokesman John Cannon said the officer was driving northbound Saturday about 5:45 p.m. along the feeder road of the Eastex Freeway when he saw a man at an intersection of Collingsworth St. damaging a traffic sign.
The officer, identified as K. Levi, pulled over and said the man appeared agitated and was yelling obscenities, and Cannon said the man appeared to be "under the influence of a strong narcotic."
As Levi tried to calm the man, Cannon said he began charging at the officer..

What happened to tazers?
Remember when cops were so insisting they would save lives. If an unarmed agitated man is heading toward you, I understand you have to do something, but why does it have to be shooting him several times?
