No, Clinton is by far the weaker candidate. They have an endless supply of both manufactured issues as well as legit ones she's brought on herself.
It's just best to allow the liars and damn fools to win by throwing gunk around to bring her down? Because even those who would rather have someone else in office will believe it? hmmm. Looks like maybe that's correct. The right top of the circle is very very close to the left top of the circle. Seems they both might approve of the same tactics.

(3,660 posts)in addition to the right-wing smears, there were issues with truth that she brought on herself. I rather think it will be more of those than the Benghazi ones.

This is just another attack by republicans to muddy the waters. I am sure some here on DU will love this kind of stuff, but republicans had their chance to "expose" things already, and they blew it big time. This is just another attempt at throwing everything on the wall to see if something sticks.
I agree with you, if they want her e-mails then let's see Powell and Rice's as well.

(1,196 posts)It is trying to make the already muddy waters more transparent. It is the whole reason behind the FOIA. I highly encourage citizens of all political persuasions and their representatives to demand transparency and accountability from our elected officials. Their official records are public property. Transparency puts pressure on our politicians to be more honest and work for the people rather than their corporate masters.
It is those in power in both parties who oppose demands like this for transparency who want to muddy the waters by keeping their records hidden from public view.
I'm all for getting Powell's and Rice's records as well. Their records belong to us.

(13,881 posts)Years of investigations and impeachment hearings with gridlock everywhere but Wall Street I would imagine. Meanwhile the populace becomes more frustrated with the inaction on important issues (other than war) and voila! It will be time for a "strong leader" who will be able to take over and get things done! I'm sure the Republican's are taking good notes on what is needed to win on their side. Look for multiple Donald Trumps to emerge in the future.

(15,349 posts)Effing Jesus Christ could be elected as a Democrat and the Repukes would subpoena his disciples. Hell, they'd investigate the Virgin Mary for infidelity if she were a Democrat!
It's going to happen to Bernie
It's going to happen to Clinton
It would happen to ANY Democrat!
and the only way to stop it, is to get the "eff" out and vote to ensure they don't have subpoena power, or majorities on the committees.

(23,147 posts)Funny that having a private email server with classified information on it (direct backdoor connection to CIA) was something so irrelevant it wasn't even investigated. When Condoleeza and Colin Powell used their own private emails as SOS it was all papered over and again, nothing to see here. But when HRC does it, OMG, the sky is falling, per Repugs. They don't give a shit about anything except stealing more $$ and power for themselves and their 1% masters.
