US defence secretary Leon Panetta has held talks with Indian Defence Minister AK Antony on the concluding day of his first visit to India.

Mr Panetta has emphasised the importance of India's role in providing security for Asia, including in Afghanistan.

Mr Panetta is in Delhi to discuss the new US strategic focus on Asia.

and ALSO nuclear armed, gee, I can't think of a single thing.

India is being used as a 'continental dagger' aka 'catspaw', by the NATO/UK/USA bankster gang to destabilise the whole of SE Asia.

Madness from the 'great' minds who developed the whole 'al Qaeda as a porta-riot boogeymen' and the 'Arc of Crisis' theory, Robert Gates and Zbigniew Brzezinski. They started both these schemas out in the Carter regime, with Gates moving on to become the Secretary of Defense under both Bush and Obama, whilst Brzezinski is a de facto chief architect of geo-political policy for the Obama administration http://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/65720/zbigniew-brzezinski/from-hope-to-audacity http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/23726367#23726367 http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/sociopol_obama08.htm .

1980-1986: China and US Support Kymer Rouge

China and the US sustained the Khmer Rouge with overt and covert aid in an effort to destabilize Cambodia’s Vietnam-backed government. With US backing, China supplied the Khmer Rouge with direct military aid. Zbigniew Brzezinski, national security adviser during the administration of President Carter, will later acknowledge, “I encouraged the Chinese to support Pol Pot…. Pol Pot was an abomination. We could never support him, but China could.”

September 4, 1997: Brzezinski’s ‘The Grand Chessboard’ Advocates Overthrow of Iranian Goverment

“The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives”. In the book Brzezinski details how in order to protect America’s status as the last remaining super power on earth it would be necessary to invade and control key locations in the Middle East, particularly Iran. The book theorizes that America could be attacked by Afghan terrorists which would lead to our invasion of Afghanistan and ultimately control of Iran as a key strategic country to hold in the war for global supremacy.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
The US empire's currency (the rapidly-dying dollar) is backed up, collateralized by oil, and the oil is, in turn backed up by the global Anglo-American war machine.

This crisis point with the current global monetary debt regime will occur in the next 5 to 10 years max, it even may cause a new world war, as many industrialized countries (not just 3rd world periphery states) will simply be unable to continue to operate at a level that will prevent their own citizens from outright civil wars and coup d' etats (much like we see now in the 'arc of crisis' ie. Morocco to the Chinese border).

This concept was laid out over 30 years ago by Zbigniew Brzezinski (again, the chief geo-political strategist for Carter, now for Obama) in his books, speeches and CFR articles. His goal is to use this arc to force a China vs. Russia war by 2020. This will complete the elimination (in his mind) of the last threat to the Anglo/American banking cartel for true, lasting technetronic global hegemony.

5. So what?

Countries have always played chess for national interest and collective national interest may not be always congruent with individual self-interest of the nation's citizenry.

No one in India is afraid of Pakistan's nuclear bravado. They lack the guts to actually use the nukes and the estimates of how many nukes they have is highly inflated -- primarily via ISI's psy-ops.

If we were so worried about the nukes, we wouldn't have continued with the drone strikes with impunity, over Pakistan's dead body. In the event of a war, the first thing that Pakistan will lose will be its nukes. Israel, India, US and Russia all have such plans which they probably share.

I haven't seen people afraid of Pakistan's nukes except on DU. Even people in India who live in Pakistan's missiles' range are no so scared.

At some point, Pakistan needs to change and give up its terrorist apparatus, give up its dreams of making India an Islamic state, give up its designs on Afghanistan, get over Kashmir and join the family of civilized nations. If not, someone, at some point is going to call Pakistan's bluff.

4. Panetta unapologetic about Pakistan drone strikes
Wed Jun 6, 2012, 01:21 PM
Jun 2012

NEW DELHI - Just two days after a drone strike killed al Qaeda's second-in-command, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta made it clear Wednesday that such attacks will continue as long as the U.S. needs to defend itself against terrorists that threaten America.

Speaking in India — on Pakistan's doorstep — Panetta unapologetically dismissed suggestions that the strikes could violate Pakistan's sovereignty.

"This is about our sovereignty as well," he said when answering questions from the audience after a speech at an Indian think tank.

And he was blunt about the difficulties in the U.S. relationship with Pakistan, as insurgents continue to find safe haven there, despite repeated protests from American leaders.

Pakistan is aiding and abetting fugitives and loses the argument on sovereignty.

They are harboring terrorists like Dawood Ibrahim who is responsible for several terrorist attacks in India but refuse to hand him over despite Interpol's red corner alerts.

Sovereignty comes with civilized responsibility just as individual rights and freedoms come with social responsibility.
