Ted Cruz Wins Kansas Caucuses As 3 Other ‘Super Saturday’ States Vote In GOP Contest

Source: Washington Post

NEW ORLEANS — Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, who has sought to present himself as the chief alternative to GOP front-runner Donald Trump, secured a strong victory in the Kansas presidential caucuses Saturday, according to a projection by the Associated Press, as voting and ballot counting continued in three other GOP contests.

“The scream you hear, the howl that comes from Washington, D.C., is utter terror at what 'We the People' are doing together,” Cruz told supporters in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, shortly after his projected victory was announced.

With 53 percent of the vote counted, the Associated Press called the victory for Cruz (R-Tex). He led Trump with 49 percent of the vote to 25 percent for Trump, according to the AP.

The 2016 election pressed forward Saturday as five states held presidential nominating contests across the country. Dubbed "Super Saturday," Republicans are also voting in Louisiana and are caucusing in Maine and Kentucky. Democrats are voting in Louisiana and are caucusing in Kansas and Nebraska.

Trump's more obnoxious, but Cruz and his ChristoFascist True Believers are, in my view, far more toxic to everything that makes America America. He and his True Believer TeaBagger Minions represent the ANTIthesis of Christ's actual teachings, and American democracy.

In the Deep Red heart of the Republican Party, you drive all the Hispanics and Latinos out of the region...and then two of "them" run for Republican presidential nominee - and now one of "them" is beating your 'unelectable' fascist racist celebrity candidate!

This very well could be the death knell of the Republican Party.

Polls show Cruz doing well against Hillary. The SAFEST course of action is for Democrats to go with Bernie.

Unfavorability rating: Ted Cruz - 51%
Unfavorability rating: Hillary - 54%
Unfavorability rating: Bernie - 38%

President Ted Cruz is the absolute worst case scenario for this nation.

Trump, for all his bombast is at least not a frothing, bible-waving, Jesus freak straight from central casting. Hell, even Rubio would be preferable to Ted Cruz.

The only saving grace is I couldn't possibly imagine this country electing Ted Cruz for President. God help us if it did.

Cruz hates 1/2 of the country. He sent water to Flint - only to the RIGHT people of Flint. He hates our guts. Trump does not believe 80% of what he says. We are doing a disservice to this country in our 'piling on' enabling Cruz to be the nominee. The only other acceptable repub is Kasich...*gag*, sorry. I threw up a little. I am hoping Trump is their nominee.
