(10,998 posts)I know it's futile to hope for a miracle, but maybe younger Okies are finally waking up and reclaiming the populist roots that state once had.

(541 posts)Glad bill clinton$ Couldn't be in two regions of the country at once today-- he only interrupted the democratic process in MA.
Good on OK.

As I've said before, our side, no matter whether you support Clinton or Sanders have to be the adults in the room.
Blessings all.

(53,975 posts)I know I wasn't the only Okie who said Sanders, but going on what I saw, it seemed to favor him. I was surprised by the margin though. I was equally surprised Rubio did as well as he did, coming in on the heels of Trump. That was a bit surprising.

I never figured that at all.
ETA: In my little world here in north east Oklahoma I thought that he had a chance from the people I talked to but oklahoma has a lot of people in need of anger management and it was those folks who had me thinking that we probably couldn't pull it off. We have a lot of racist, misogynous homophobic and xenophobic people here in Ok. Luckily for me most of those people live out west. Around here in the eastern part of the state we're made up of whites, blacks and native americans who have come to grips with who we are and accept that we're brothers and sisters no matter what.
Now I can't get the song Oklahoma out of my head.
