Nairobi freaks out as lions escape from national park
Source: Washington Post
Nairobi is a rare city in which a park full of the world's most vicious predators abuts a sprawling metropolis that's home to millions of humans.
Usually it's a peaceful coexistence. On Friday, it got a little scary.
Four lions escaped from Nairobi National Park and headed toward a heavily populated part of one of Africa's largest cities. Kenyan wildlife officials tried in some cases unsuccessfully to keep people calm.
"Avoid provoking the lions by confronting them," tweeted Kenya Wildlife Services spokesman Paul Udoto.
