Cruz campaign slammed for very fake-looking ‘Photoshop’ image of Obama-Rubio handshake

Source: Washington Post

Rubio advisor @dtoddharris on photoshop: "This is how phony and deceitful the Cruz campaign has become" pic.twitter.com/AlZphykHIK

For a potential would-be Republican primary voter, the image was something out of the apocalypse: Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.), one the GOP’s surviving presidential candidates, shaking hands with President Obama.

“The Rubio-Obama Trade Pact,” www.therealrubiorecord.com — paid for by Cruz for President — read. “Rubio cast the deciding vote to fast-track three highly secretive trade deals negotiated by Obama and encouraging corrupt, backroom deals.”

Ouch. Except, according to the Rubio campaign and anyone familiar with stock art and Photoshop, the handshake looks totally fake. And, while Rubio and Obama have shaken hands, it seems unlikely they shook hands in exactly that awkward fashion with those strange facial expressions while floating in space above the Capitol grounds.

“This is not Marco Rubio,” Rubio senior adviser Todd Harris told reporters Thursday, as Time reported. “This person, we don’t know who that is, but they Photoshopped Marco’s face onto somebody else. This is how phony and how deceitful the Cruz campaign has become.”

This stuff gets so silly, I can't even come up with witty comments any more. The best I can do is post, and half the time I can't even bring myself to that.

He'll do or say ANYTHING to get elected! I HOPE the voters recognize this and ignore him so he permanently goes away!

... really makes it obvious that Carnival Cruz is waaaay out of his league in just about any kind of politics. Also makes it obvious what a devious and evil snotbag he is. No wonder all of his peers dislike him.

I don't know how I barely wrap my mind about it

And I was born at the end of the baby boomers, so I have some perspective. God knows how my son (about 20) or anyone else perceives it. I'm afraid they'll perceive it as normal. And it is, kinda, the "new normal", but it's important to know what it could be.

Maybe Bernie will bring us back. I'm hoping (fingers crossed).

So i spent ten minutes looking for an image of Sanders shaking the hand of a Republican to prove the point how ridiculous it is to demonize a Washington politician for, in the course of their jobs, to be in a position of simple courtesy even, to shake ones political foe's hand once in the odd while.

Strange thing is, I couldn't find one.

Oh,...other than this handshake with a Republican-lite:
