South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley Endorses Rubio

Source: MSNBC

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley endorsed Marco Rubio for president, NBC News has confirmed.

Haley's endorsement, first reported by the Charleston Post and Courier, was heavily courted ahead of Saturday's GOP primary in the Palmetto State. She is the third influential South Carolina Republican to endorse Rubio, who also enjoys support from Sen. Tim Scott, and Rep. Trey Gowdy.

RNC hates Trump. He is a turd, but he is talking a great game, enough to get the cretins to vote for him. I will bet if trump continues to win the primaries, there will be a revolt in the RNC and top wigs of the republican party and there will be a brokered convention. The establishment will go for Rubio, Trump will split and run as an independent or third party, causing a riff in the GOP with it allowing Bernie or Hillary to win the presidency. I also think if the Senate pushes against president Obama on the Supreme Court thing...... that is going to be another edge to dems..... I think this time next year the democrats will have the Senate, White House and 5-4 majority in the Supreme Court. As far as Nikki Haley, a lot of South Carolina residents really don't like her, so she is not that big of a draw.

However, the Dems can screw this up by putting their thumb on the scale for HRC. The last poll I saw says that 14% of Dems won't vote for her under any circs. Now, that may drop to half that when push comes to shove, but 7% is still not a number she wants walking out on her.

Not that anyone gets much respect from Trump, but women are far down his list.

I was listening to MSNBC on the radio this morning, and they made the comment that Jeb and George went to see her and many thought that meant she was going to endorse Jeb. So much for that idea.

I think Jeb should have dropped out a long time ago, he just wasn't smart enough to know his time was up. And they call him the "smart one"!

I still think that Jeb! would be a tougher general election candidate compared to Rubio but the GOP can make their own mistakes

I assume if Bush still had the power that's the camp she would of landed in but no, Haley went for the kid Rubio, why I don't know.

This 2016 pres election is the best daily news cycle ever

Back of my mind has the possibility of a TRUMP/BUSH 2016 ticket haunting me...

But she probably knows Jeb does not have the public in his pocket like Trump and Sanders do so the sitting gov went with the only real establishment choice she had, Rubio.

My faith humans still might have a future is renewed each time a GOP candidate fails.

This endorsement does more to diminish Nikki Haley than it does to help Rubio. After his performance in the previous debate before NH, I just don't see him recovering. I think for the rest of this primary season, he will always seem too small and too inexperienced for the job. He maybe be a first term Senator like Obama, but Obama never seemed too small for the job, although the experience question was a valid one at the time.
