Carson staying in race, sees South Carolina victory

Source: CNN

Ben Carson said Wednesday he will be staying in the Republican race, despite a poor showing in New Hampshire, and is hoping to win big in South Carolina.

"I'm not getting any pressure from our millions of supporters (to leave the race). I'm getting a lot of pressure to make sure I stay in the race," Carson told CNN's Jake Tapper on "The Lead." "You know, they're reminding me that I'm here because I responded to their imploring me to get involved. And I respect that and I'm not just going to walk away from the millions of people who are supporting me."

Carson came in second-to-last place Tuesday night, beating only former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore. His decision to stick in the race comes even as two candidates who beat him there, Carly Fiorina and Chris Christie, announced Wednesday they were ending their bids.

But Carson, who at one point attracted strong support from evangelical voters, said he expected to do well in South Carolina.

And no, I'm not talking about the fact that he's also African-American.

His utter inability to comprehend reality is what's on my mind.

I expected them to end the ad with "Film at 11."

He was one of the most gifted speakers I have ever seen in a debate. Carson is much smarter, but is awful at speaking.

The third. Everyone knew that Bernie would get NH since its next to his own state. He was supposed to get Iowa. The GOP was counting upon him going into South Carolina with two primaries under his belt and then scoring an upset but either winning or not losing South Carolina by as much as everyone thought because some Dems crossed primaries (they can do that in South Carolina) to vote for Carson. Carson's campaign was always intended to throw a monkey wrench into this one primary. Unfortunately for the GOP, Clinton won Iowa, so things are not going quite as well for them in their "Anyone but Hillary Campaign"--meaning that they have to pour a ton of money in South Carolina now, enough for a serious Democratic Primary upset, if they are going to take control of the Democratic Primary.

Will it work? Depends. If the MSM gets together and declares Hillary so unstoppable in South Carolina that no one's individual vote counts and at the same time if the MSM suddenly declares that Carson has some serious momentum and needs votes, you could see a sizable cross over vote.

Fox should make for some interesting viewing over the next few weeks.

Two of them override the others, First: If Ben Carson actually wins SC, it will be clear that the elections in that state are completely rigged. That should be a runaway state for Trump, no question about it. Remember Alvin Greene??? That was the biggest fraud of all time! Interesting how the media general ignored that as a whole, especially with the distinct smell of bullshit.

Second: The GOP has revealed their strategy, they are in fact targeting a brokered convention, their goal is to keep everyone except for Kasich and Bush under the threshold to secure the nomination, bet on it. Then come convention time, hello Kasich!

That is all his job has ever been in this election. We will see a ton of money poured into his campaign for South Carolina in hopes of upsetting Clinton.
