Undeclared in New Hampshire: ‘I Might Be Able to Bring Trump and Cruz Down’

Source: New York Times

RINDGE, N.H. — After hours of deliberation and debate, Joleen Little had narrowed down her choice for president in the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday to two candidates — a liberal Democrat and a conservative Republican.

Yes, that’s right. Two candidates from opposite political parties.

Ms. Little, 62, of Rindge, was trying to decide whether to support Senator Bernie Sanders, an avowed democratic socialist from Vermont running as a political outsider, or Jeb Bush, a former Republican governor of Florida, who hails from one of the nation’s most prominent political dynasties.

“I know it sounds crazy, but I like a little from each person,” said Ms. Little, waiting to see Mr. Bush speak at Franklin Pierce University here last week. A bit later, ducking out early from the event, she whispered with a smile, “I like him even better now.”

"The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter."

Or if f Clement Attlee is more your style, "Democracy means government by discussion, but it is only effective if you can stop people talking"

Anyway, the election of 1840 was considered to be about the silliest or most inane campaign up to that time. One of Harrison's campaign slogans was "Tippecanoe and Tyler, too!" Another was "the Log Cabin and Hard Cider Candidate" (hence the bottles). The campaign was also marked by Harrison supporters rolling a giant ball of tin and paper for hundreds of miles ("Keep the ball rolling!&quot . It also added another word to the American vocabulary-- "Booze". The hard cider or whiskey had been distilled by the E.C.Booz distillery.

The dems need to know that it's something discussed in hushed tones even in liberal enclaves. In general the idea of the hoardes coming over the border or arriving from the ME isn't popular. So Trump has those voters, my neighbor is one of these.

I can't believe some people--this, to me, is astounding. The damn vote is tomorrow!! I mean, there's an acre of difference between the Dem candidates and fricken RUBIO~~~!!!!!!

Barbara Wilson, 64, of Henniker, N.H., said she liked both Democratic candidates, as well as Mr. Rubio. “I have no earthly idea what I’m going to do a the end of the day,” she said. Credit Richard Perry/The New York Times

And the lady whining that she likes the Democrats and Rubio? She's wearing a Christie sticker!!

Funny, the "undecideds" aren't getting as much media love this year...at least not in the primaries. In 08 the pundits were hanging on their every word--it was mind-numbing, "throw some shit" television!

Simple minded, easily led, naive fool. Honest to God, she never could understand the punch line in a joke, so we always had to explain what it meant. It was always the delayed chuckle in the crowd.

I think she is one of millions of scared, simple minded fools that tune in to fox in order to have repeated over and over and over again what she is supposed to think.

American idiot. Not a rare specie at all, unfortunately.

We used to all get together and enjoy each others' company, but those days are long gone.

I remember when she shared with me that she watches fox 24/7, and I nearly shoot my drink out my nose when she informed me that they were a reliable news source. I thought she was making a joke. She was serious. How sad.

I've been in favor of closed primaries, especially since Limbaugh's 2008 "Operation Chaos". The opportunity for someone to vote with the intent of creating mischief doesn't set well with me at all.

Come on, indies, don't go out to shake the nuts out of the Republican tree, they'll self-destruct on their own.
