Bernie Sanders Shrugs Off Albright's Foreign Policy Slam

Source: NBC News

by MATTHEW VANN

With just two days till the New Hampshire primary, Senator Bernie Sanders is pushing back against allegations that he doesn't have enough foreign policy credentials to become president of the United States.

"It's the same argument used against Barack Obama in 2008," Sanders told NBC News' Kate Snow. "He doesn't have any experience in foreign policy. But it didn't work then, won't work now."

The Vermont Democrat said that while he doesn't have a foreign policy advisor on his campaign, there is one in his U.S. Senate office and touts his Iraq war vote as a good sign of his judgment.

"Not only did I vote against that war, which was the right vote, I helped lead the opposition to that war," he said.

Ask him anything about any foreign policy issue and his standard retort is that he didn't vote for the war in Iraq. We know, Bernie, believe me, we know. Goodness knows you have mentioned it often enough. Now, can you please move on and talk specifics? No, right? Your knowledge of the subject fits in a sippy cup.

Hillary can't evolve from her costly war vote. Get used to it. It it one line in the sand she can't remove with a wave of her hand even though she would like to.

Why should Bernie tell ISIS where he will hit them in advance?

He has more experience Than Obama had by far. How did that work out???

Last night, Clinton once again praised a man with a lot of blood on his hands: http://www.thenation.com/article/henry-kissinger-hillary-clintons-tutor-in-war-and-peace/?nc=1

Bernie Sanders lacks foreign policy experience, but also his rivals' errors: http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511156670

We know where Hillary gets her advice! Emails expose close ties between Hillary Clinton and accused war criminal Henry Kissinger: http://www.salon.com/2016/01/12/emails_expose_close_ties_between_hillary_clinton_and_accused_war_criminal_henry_kissinger/

Did you send any kids to any of those wars?
Do you have kids to sacrifice for Hillary in a future war?

Do you think that Hillary will make the right decision in the future regarding wars abroad? (wrong 4 times so far).

I find it an insult how couch supporters talk casually about disasters that your candidate voted for as if it was nothing.

The war in Iraq apparently "fits in a sippy cup."

All I hear from them is how nasty we are to her, and how Bernie should apologize for our "disgusting behavior" attacking the 1st woman candidate unfairly because unlike Bernie, she doesn't promise "free stuff".

I had a post censored once for making a sarcastic remark on how corporate politicians like Hillary are the arms industry's best friend. If they needed some revenue, just pick up the phone! We need a war!

That's right!

I call politicians like Hillary, conservadems and republicans water carriers for war profiteers.

But I guess the sensitivities of the establishment are more important than dead and wounded soldiers or the trail of death many of us have left behind on their behalf.

Experience. He seems to support Obama's foreign policy on most issues and will probably rely on many of Obama's advisers. I do not expect huge changes in foreign policy with the exception of trade policies. Thhere, Bernie is far better than either Hillary or Obama, and that is one of the things we all like about Bernie.

Bernie promises a trade policy that will be better for orddinary Americans who work for a living and that will not be so favorable to tax-evading mulitinational corporations.

So before you give people condescending advice about looking up words in a dictionary, I would develop a bit more civility when addressing fellow Democrats if I were you. Lest you want people to retort in the same manner. This board is for ALL Democrats, not just the supporters of one candidate.

Chuck Todd just tried the 'Bernie lacks foreign affairs advisors and experience bit' with Jeff Weaver who reminded how many years Sanders has been in the Congress, met with foreign leaders, his judgment, and how the same was said of Obama in '08. The Berniebro nonsense was handled for what it is. What an outstanding rep. Weaver is for Bernie.

His speech in the lead up to the Iraq mess is on a Nostradamus scale.

Mon Feb 8, 2016, 11:48 AM
Feb 2016

President Obama had no foreign policy experience when he was elected, he appointed Clinton SOS. And she had no foreign policy experience at that time! Remember Libya, Honduras, and the Iraqi War vote! And when she said "we came..we saw..he died!" that was enough for me to see what a war hawk she is! Recently, she tried to undermine Obama's and Kerry's efforts, in regards to the recent Iran hostage incident! To give her opinion before they, the hostages, were out of country was unforgivable! She knew better, her ego just took over!

Bernie has the judgment and experience to become a great commander in chief!
