Steven Avery says his own brother killed Teresa Halbach

Source: WBAY, ABC affiliate in Green bay, WI

Steven Avery has accused his own brother, Earl Avery, of murdering Teresa Halbach, during an exclusive interview with Access Hollywood this week, his brother said.

During one of Earl Avery’s first on-camera interviews he said while he hasn’t seen Steven in more than a decade, he talked with him via telephone for the first time in eight years, last week.

During that call Steven allegedly told Earl his new lawyers told him to say Earl killed Teresa Halbach, Earl says.

I could recall who Steven Avery was.

Yes, it is a media distraction. Maybe it belongs in the True Crime group. I do read there sometimes.

"Making Of A Murderer"

It's really obvious the film-makers have an agenda, and are pushing that "Steven Avery is innocent" agenda.

Except just take a look at the two better (IMO) documentaries.

Woodstock
Hearts And Minds

Both have no narrators, no agenda being pushed, they just let the participants either excel at a concert, or hang themselves with their own words about Vietnam.

For Steven Avery to suddenly start saying "My brother did it!" is not only desperation, but it shows just how crass he really is.

Before the rape conviction, (I know that was false,) and the murder, Avery was scum.
He burned alive a family cat.
He threatened a female relative with a gun.

A documentary need not be objectively factual, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with a documentary pushing an agenda, especially not if the agenda is made clear.

Yes, that's pretty much indefensible.
He threatened a female relative with a gun.
That's not correct, unless you're referring to a different incident. IIRC he threatened a family member of the Manitowoc County sheriff. This is significant, because it sets the stage for the first (now proven) frame job and lends reasonable doubt to the county's dubious and heavy-handed involvement in the subsequent murder investigation.

Before the rape conviction, (I know that was false,) and the murder, Avery was scum.
He may indeed be scum, and I certainly wouldn't care to spend my weekends hanging out with him, but being scum should not carry a life sentence.

If he committed the murder exactly as described, then it's a shame that the cops wasted so much effort in making it look like they framed him again.
