Donald Trump Says He Wants Supreme Court To Overturn Same-Sex Marriage

Donald Trump told Fox News he isn't happy with the Supreme Court's ruling on same-sex marriage and would nominate justices to overturn it.

By Ethan Weston | January 31, 2016

Donald Trump says he isn't a fan of the way the Supreme Court ruled on same-sex marriage.

"I would have much preferred that they ruled at a state level and let the states make those rulings themselves," Trump told Fox News.

Trump told Fox News's Chris Wallace he would consider appointing judges to the Supreme Court that would be willing to overturn the ruling if he was elected president.

Last year, Trump told The Hollywood Reporter that the fight against same-sex marriage was a "dead issue" after the Supreme Court had its say. But he's also consistently said he's a believer in "traditional marriage." (Video via CNN)

which is what the Supreme court has held marriage to be for many, many, many years.

a fundamental right, for the individual, trumps (forgive the pun) states' rights..

shouldn't someone running for President know that?

the states all the rights. OH YEA, the states are taking away all the rights. Name one state that has not taken away voters rights, women rights, educational rights, healthcare rights. They are against there citizens and also the Federal Government, except when they need financial help. Like MICH. Gov. Snyder begging for funds to help the Flint water Crisis, He got $100 million, but not one penny will be spent on Flint. Then we have the Texas Governors, Perry and now Abbott, always asking for a handout, yet they hate Washington, expect for help.
These same Republicans trash the American people needing help. Yet they smile and ask Washington for help.

When will the American people wake up to the Republicans? They are a fraud, liars, Always giving out mis-information to the people. Wake up American to this criminal Republican party.

So why would we want our states to control us anymore then the Feds?

He's pandering to the base. It doesn't remotely matter if he really believes that. They want to hear it. So, he says what they want to hear. That's all any of them are doing.

Cruz isn't going to nuke the middle east. Carson isn't going to overturn Roe. Paul isn't going to turn SS into a Wall Street pyramid scheme. But, they say what they need to.

It behooves every one of us to attempt to locate a local Christian Fundamentalist
and find out why they support this bozo.

Do they subconsciously love the hypocrisy and self aggrandizement?

So they wish they were like him, with foreign born wives, $100 million homes?

Do they like the Casino mogul chutzpah, glamour, and power?

Is it the Las Vegas Life that makes their own boring church life seem cool?

What is going on here?

Or are they losing out on the levers of control of others - sin - that feeds
their domination and financial exploitation?

If we can all convert one of them to sanity, it will help our cause in 2016!

shooting himself in the foot again. I guess I should thank him for running such an inept campaign where he has all the free press but uses it to alienate whole sectors from voting for him. Wonder how much of those votes he lost in Iowa were of Spanish Descent, or Muslim - who typically vote Right, or any Immigrant. He can count out the Gays now too. Remember Iowa is the 2nd whites state in the Nation. Wonder how he'll do in in the big states that have the majority of delegates - comprising of a whole lot of minorities. He's just lost gays and friends of gays too.
