Updated 4:16 pm, Wednesday, January 13, 2016
MANASSAS, Va. (AP) A Virginia day care teacher who turned her classroom into what a prosecutor called a "baby fight club" has been convicted on more than a dozen criminal charges.
A Prince William County judge Wednesday convicted 31-year-old Sarah Jordan of Woodbridge on 13 felony and misdemeanor counts, including child cruelty, and assault and battery. She was found not guilty on four counts.
Jordan was the lead teacher in a Minnieland Academy classroom of 1-year-old children in Woodbridge.
Witnesses testified that Jordan intentionally tripped children, encouraged them to fight each other and sprayed them in the face with a hose.

(2,702 posts)They were there and moved on well before this happened though. It's kind of surprising, because I always thought it was a decent daycare.
I don't know what to say except wow. And, of course, I'm glad your kids got out of there safe and sound. I'm so sorry for the little ones who didn't.

(1,859 posts)than everyone else. She wanted to quit skating because of it. While she was crying and wanted to go home one day, I said okay, but I'll give you a buck if you do it right back to that kid. That's how that took off. No it wasn't sick or cruel. I doubt she ever took out anyone who apologized for taking her out. She married a tribal cop and is a good mom now so I don't think it messed her up. Nobody ever did anything but get back up on the rink and start skating. It keep her in figure skating for over a decade past when she was a starter and they'd take her out.

(1,859 posts)skaters. your idea that every fall might be fatal is kind of ridiculous. I mean as an older adult that might be the case and I would suggest someone like that not step on a rink. They'll fall far more on their own accord. Taking out small children is worse than them taking out you though. I'm pretty sure she never took out any small kids, it was always people older then her - 8 or above. How do you feel about little league football where the coach puts a cheese burger on the other teams quarter backs head - meaning who ever takes him out gets a cheese burger? Now that I consider brutal. Happens all the time. I don't consider it the same thing.
